*~ Christmas Cards 2009 ~*

We lost the ditto tree (well, I assume we did since a cs user has outbid us and celga doesn't let you bid again)- I really didn't think it'd go up that high :( I hope another shows up one day - we've had real trouble gettig pokecen stuff lately since another cs user always seems to get there first :(

FIRST NAME

Kate - just Kate :) I find it quite strange that poeple often assume that it's Catherine and I've just shortened it, but it's really just Kate ^_^

AGE

I'm 24 - in some situations (like Pokemon Collecting and cosplaying) I feel a little old, and in others, like my job, I feel young, so it's a happy balance!

LOCATION

Newcastle - somewhere I've been for around 10 years now and love - my family and Andy's family are based here, so it's all nice and central, and with the countryside nearby it's lovely <3

OCCUPATION

I'm a teacher, and I'm now at my first full time permanent post! It's hard work and incredibly busy for a lot of the year, but worth every second of it. I'm lucky to be able to say that I love my job :)

PARTNER

Andy, my fiance, who is a year and a half old than me and I have known for 6 years now :) We first met at University whenI was a first year and he was a final year student. I randomly emailed him after finding him on a website for local anime fans, and we quickly became best friends. At that time, I was in a different relationship, but when my ex broke up with me Andy and I became closer and closer, and now we're simply inseparable! H;es my whole world and I love him more than anything <3

KIDS

Not yet, but someday! I'd like to get married and have our own place before then ^_^ To be honest, my pokedoll collection is for them really <3

BROTHERS/SISTERS

A little sister, Jess - who is in London training to be a dentist, and my little brother Ric, who is at uni in Aberdeen. With them being at opposite ends of the country, I don't get to see them anywhere near as often as I'd like, but they are both wonderful :)

PETS

None sadly :( As soon as we move somewhere that allows them though, it's kitten time!~

List the 3/5 biggest things going on in your life

1. Andy! With him being a bit under the weather really, making sure he is okay is my number one priority at the moment <3

2, Work! Certianly the thing that takes up the most of my time ^^; Luckily I don't really mind!

3. Collecting! My collections have exploded in recent months, and I've been having some lucky finds - I'm really pleased with my Pokedolls in particular :)

PARENTS

My Mum and Dad are the best parents!~ Dad is a professor at Newcastle University and Mum is an editor there, and they have offices sitting opposite eachother! I had a very happy childhood thanks to them, and they've been incredibly supportive of everything I've ever done. I'm very lucky <3

FRIENDS

These days, my real-life friends are few and far between, due to some convention-based things last year, but I still have a few wonderful ones :) I've also got some very lovely online friends, including some I met in the summer (you know who you are! <3) - they are very caring and dear to me, and I hope that that first meeting wasn't the last :)

*relaxes* After 7 weeks, my first half term as a full-time-permanent teacher is over - and I love it! <3

I wish I had a little more time to write here and keep in tough with people though >_< At least I have the holidays though! <3

Summer is over, and I've got the first day of term with me new year 5 class tomorrow - I'm feeling excited but really nervous! :S

Fears and worries...

Andy has always said that I worry far too much.. I've started to think though - maybe I do, maybe it's some sort of problem :( Really, I don't have all that much to worry about - I've got a wonderful fiancé, lovely family and great job - Money is getting better and I'm dealing with my excess weight, which in turn is making me feel better about myself. I can't help it though, I'll find something to worry about :(

Recently, I've been worried about a few things in particular - Andy at work, my new job starting, and my parents. The first two I've got natural worry about, but the last is irrational - my parents have just been on holiday together and seem as happy as ever - I've no reason to suspect anything wrong, but I've always been scared of them breaking up :( I just can't seem to stop worrying about things :- last night I lay awake with no particular worry, just a fear of something bad happening :(

Talents~ (or lack of?)

Maybe I was thinking too much lately, but does anyone else ever wish that they had a real talent for something? I'd love to find something I was really good at - I try various things (I love cosplay and photography for example, but I'm not particularly good at either), but I've never really found something I'm really good at doing.

Does anyone else ever have thoughts along those lines? or can anyone suggest something I could try doing? <3

Last year, without knowing it, we booked our holiday to Japan over Comiket ^_^ This year - we've managed to do something very similar - I've just found out that our holiday falls over Wonderfest! <3

From the research I've done, it seems like cosplay is okay at wonderfest, so I'm planning on doing some! I'm not sure what to do though - I want to wear something cute and summery (as it'll be very humid) - does anyone have any good ideas?

On Thursday, I had an interview for a job at the school I've been working - there were 5 candidates, so I was pretty nervous, but I got the job!!~

I've so incredebly happy - its the first permanent job I've ever had, and it means I no longer have to worry about money. I can also start planning our wedding, and go back to Japan this Summer ^_^

Things are finally going well :3

My school reports are done!~ I can relax for a bit!
